Chocolate Moose Chalet. From the moment you arrive at The Chocolate Moose Chalet, you are surrounded by the natural mountainous beauty of the Raystown Lake area. The Chalet sits on almost 6 wooded acres of private land and was built in late 2011. This wonderful HIGH END rustic getaway offers a perfect balance of peace and quiet with convenient modern amenities. The home includes custom Amish hickory cabinets, granite countertops, handmade hickory floors, as well as as knotty pine walls and ceilings throughout the entire home. A large, inviting master suite with private bath highlights the main living area of the Chalet. A large dining area and expansive living room complete the open floor plan theme throughout the home. An upper level includes 2 full bedrooms, a full bathroom with tub/shower combo, and two additional sleeping lofts that can be converted from seating areas to 2 queen pull out sleeper sofas. The finished lower level includes 1300 sq. ft. of finished space! Within the finished basement are 2 additional bedrooms (2 twin beds and 1 King bed), a full bathroom, and a 700 sq. ft. recreation room. The recreation room has an abundance of couches, a pull out sofa sleeper, a 55 inch flat panel TV, Blu Ray DVD player, and a card/puzzle/game table and chairs. A relaxing covered porch overlooking the woods spans over half the home and is approximately 1200 sq. ft. Plus, the chalet now includes a wheelchair accessible ramp! If you are looking for the perfect combination of rustic looks, sprawling size, backwoods privacy, modern amenities, and close proximity to Raystown Lake and 7 Points Marina ( Beach, Aligrippis, Hiking Trails, Boating) , the Chocolate Moose Chalet is a great choice to “get back to nature in a modern way!”
2023 Summer Rates adjusted: Get 4 nights during the week or 3 night weekends for similar prices! Checkouts are set for Thursday & Sundays, let us know if you need special dates. For accurate pricing, please put in the correct number of people staying throughout your booking. Base rates shown include 8 people. Sheets and towels are not included but can be rented for an additional fee after booking through our cleaning team.
Exterior security cameras are installed at the Chalet for safety and security. There are NO interior cameras of any kind inside of the home.
Perpetual Offseason Specials. Rent 3 nights and get 2 free. For dates between September 9th through May 15th every year rent Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday and get 2 additional nights free. This special does NOT apply to Holiday Weeks (ie. Thanksgiving week, Christmas week, New Years week, or Major Event Weeks in the Huntingdon County Area.) Check with us if those additional nights are available.
