We enjoyed a three night stay at the chalet and loved every minute of it. We appreciated the privacy and quiet seclusion of the location, yet so easily accessible to Raystown Lake and local amenities. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the deck! The chalet is beautiful and comfortable and gets a thumbs up from our entire family! Thanks Mike and Karen!

We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at the Moose. We held a wonderful family reunion over Thanksgiving. Our large group found the Chalet very spacious and well appointed. The entire house was set up to make you feel like you were staying with good friends. The recently completed wheelchair access ramp was most appreciated as we had two family members that needed this feature. Mike was very easy to reach and followed up to be sure all was well during our stay. The location is very secluded and yet is close to the lake and many scenic venues. I would welcome any contact to supply more info. What more can I say but, We will be back!

Our family celebrated my husband's retirement at the chalet. The chalet is beautiful, well equipped and perfectly situated in the woods. Our grandson loved the wraparound porch complete with a secure gate blocking the steps. He ran and played for hours. This house is so perfect you would never have to leave, although the surrounding attractions provided ample opportunities for our athletes, our sportsmen and our shoppers. The short ride to the Allegrippis Trail provided world class mountain bike trails created by mountain bikers, the sportsmen in our group enjoyed trout fishing in several streams and the shoppers enjoyed the shops in Huntington as well as the Amish stores in the Kishacoquillas Valley. The owners were easy to contact, responded quickly to all questions and clearly represented the property on the website. The chalet is a perfect place for a family gathering. Not only would we recommend this property, we plan to return with our family.

Our family of 8 adults and 3 babies were thrilled to rent this chalet! It had plenty of room for all of us to gather together and offered space for those that needed to play games or just wanted quiet time to relax! The kitchen was well stocked and we found the whole house very clean and neat! Michael's attention to detail was very helpful and it was great to work with him! We look forward to returning to this wonderful rental property! We what to take advantage of the huge porch and the fire pit... It was too cold for us to enjoy it this time! We were thrilled to see turkey's in the woods behind us and a deer came to visit also! We had a very enjoyable weekend !

Chocolate Moose Chalet was a perfect spot for our first family gathering of children, spouses and grandchildren. There were 12 of us, including 4 little ones under 6 years old! There was plenty of room whether we were in our own spaces or gathered together for meals or games. Michael was easy to work with and very accessible. I appreciated his attention to detail, which also revealed itself in the excellent condition of the home. The wrap around decks really expand the living area and there is ample seating. We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows over a campfire in the fire pit with the provided benches and swinging on the canopy swings. There is a long outside stairway to get to the main living area, and another set of stairs to go to the 2nd floor or ground level area. You can reach the lower level from the outside, as well, on a flat surface which gives you access to another large living room, 2 bedrooms and a full bath. Having never been to Raystown Lake we weren't sure what we would find. The area far exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed swimming at the lake, walking the trail and a trip to the Visitor's Center, which is like a mini-science museum. The Chalet is very convenient to the lake and to a shopping area which includes a Walmart for all your vacation needs.

My husband and I wanted to get away for a few days to mountain bike the Allegrippis trails near Raystown Lake. I found the Chocolate Moose Chalet online and contacted Mike, who quickly responded back so we could start planning our trip right away. We drove up from Virginia and it was so nice to find the chalet in such a convenient location to the trails and in such a lovely, peaceful setting. Being avid bikers, for 3 days we packed our sandwiches in our backpacks and hit the trails early, rode a few hours, took a refreshing swim in the lake by the hydro loop, enjoyed our lunch, and rode some more. After our rides it was great to come back to "the Moose" to shower, kick back on the deck with a glass of wine or cold beer and listen to the birds and the peace and quiet before dinner then relax some more on the comfortable recliners while watching the Tour de France! We can't say enough about the cleanliness and comfort of the chalet. The kitchen was well equipped to cook a gourmet meal in the evenings and the air condition was so quiet it never interfered with the sounds of nature. Although there was much more room than the two of us could ever need, we would love to return to the Moose again in the future, it was wonderful!

I had a low-key bachelorette party at the chalet. What a beautiful place to get a group of close friends together! Everyone just kept talking about how pretty the house was and that we need to come back. It will be great to see what the finished basement looks like too! We had so much fun and look forward to another trip to Chocolate Moose Chalet in the future. Thank you for having us. We had lots of fun and made some great memories :)

I planned a surprise 30th birthday party at the Chalet and it was absolutely amazing...the perfect venue (and what a surprise it was!) Growing up near the lake and taking our boat out almost every weekend is a memory I won't soon forget...I now reside in Pittsburgh and wanted to get away to the "country" for a weekend. I can't say enough about the cabin...it truly is immaculate-everything you could ask for. We loved the wrap around deck and firepit. It was the perfect place for my friends and I to just relax and celebrate! I will definitely be staying again...can't wait!! Thanks Karen & Mike! -Erin

First let me say that my experience with Karen and Mike was first class! I rented the Chalet for my daughter’s Penn State graduation, about a 40 min drive to the university through some of Pennsylvania’s most beautiful countryside. The Chalet was absolutely stunning! You will never find a more perfect place to stay while enjoying those PSU football games or a relaxing family vacation. Thanks again Karen and Mike for making a special time more special!!!! JM

We had a great 3 day getaway at the Moose! The kids loved the wraparound porch and having their own campfire. Being convenient to the lake, the marina, and restaurants in town was key! And for all the stuff you forgot....there's the Walmart just 10 miles over and the full size fridge. The chalet is lavish, and relaxing......and as quiet as your kids will allow it to be! Thanks Karen and Mike for a perfect Chocolate Moose experience!! JT
